Games built for the ten-minute gap
Most of my mobile gaming happens in small windows: a queue, a commute, a coffee break. The games I keep are the ones that fit those gaps instead of demanding a marathon.
Roguelike runs like Gloomvault Descent are perfect for this. A run is a few minutes, it saves your progress cleanly, and you never feel bad about stopping. Contrast that with an RPG that punishes you for leaving mid-mission.
Sim games like Harborline Days work too, because there's nothing to lose by walking away. You come back, tidy things up, and leave again happy.
When picking a game for your own rhythm, ask how it treats interruption. If leaving costs you nothing, it'll last on your phone. If it punishes you, it won't.
